This workshop will expose the participants to survival data analysis using the language of R. Predictive data analysis has many applications in medicine, biology, engineering, sociology etc. Examples of such applications are to predict the time of occurrence and the probability of occurrence of an event such as machine failure or death of a patient due to cancer; to compare the effects of different treatments on patients based on their gender or age.
Objectives of this workshop are:
1. Provide basic disclosure of survical data and types of censored data.
2. Guide participants to conduct analysis using non-parametric and parametric methods using the language R.
Who Should Attend
Researchers, Statisticians, Medical Practitioners, Students and anyone else interested in the field of Survival Analysis.
No pre-requisites for R are required.
