Introduction :

The one-day workshop aims to help the participants, to gain basic knowledge of amazing animation technology in quick and easy steps. The participants will learn to manipulate vector graphics using popular animation software. This workshop will empower the creativity of the participants’ skills of graphical design and animation to animate mathematical formula, text, images, and simple characters. Considering the importance of 2D characters and animations in design, this workshop takes participants through the selected fundamental techniques of 2D animation, and gain fundamental skills to create 2D graphics, characters, and animation for Mathematicians. With this fundamental skills, the participants will subsequently be able to moving on to creating more complex 2D animations by themselves in the future.

Learning Outcomes :

Upon completion of this workshop, participants / Mathematicians will be able to:
1. Explain the fundamental of the 2D animation production pipeline.
2. Learn the effective ways of creating 2D animated text, mathematical formula, and simple characters.
3. Gain essential skills of publishing 2D final animated movie (animated gif, executable file, and web format) for learning.
